Description of the course:    Our Business English course allows you to improve your English for career or work purposes. The course will help you develop the core language skills which are necessary for business such as listening, speaking, reading and business writing.  You will you become more fluent and confident meeting other business people speaking about business-related topics. In addition, you will develop your knowledge of language (grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation) in the context of general business topics.  Many practical tools and materials both for trainers and trainees will be supplied, and at the end of the course will be delivered a certificates, as requested in Erasmus Plus Programme. 

 Objectives

  • To achieve a good level to be able to communicate in the business world
  • To understand and answer a business letters,
  • To do presentations, negotiations and the particularly important skill of using your English on the telephone.
  • To understand sentence-length utterances and longer stretches of connected discourse on a number of topics pertaining to different times and places;
  • Comprehend the foreign language with sufficient ability to grasp the main idea and some supporting details in short conversations
  • To achieve a degree of fluency and spontaneity to interact with native speakers.
  • To acquire the ability to produce clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of cultural topics and current events of interest.
  • negotiate the culture of the target language region(s);

Methodology:  Our teaching method is based on communication. Students actively exercise the fundamental functions of the language. Particular attention is given to conversation, in order to develop students’ abilities to express themselves and communicate in English from the very beginning of the course. Naturally this method includes the study of business vocabulary the rules of syntax and grammar, as essential to English language learning, but which alone are insufficient for gaining a true command. Our English Business Course has been developed from a communicative based approach and focuses on the four language abilities: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.

Our staff:  The teaching staff consists of experienced, university-trained professionals with a solid experience in the teaching of English as a foreign language. Some teachers have worked abroad with students of very different nationalities and levels and have acquired a particular sensitivity to the specific demands of every participant.

1stDay: Meeting of participants and tutors, transport to the accommodation and room allocation. Welcome Day and presentation of the agenda for the upcoming days including information about Italian culture and Erasmus + and info about the Hosting Organization and the city hosting.

2ndDay: Third lesson: English Class: Grammar Refresher. Present simple, past participle, and present perfect, regular and the most frequent irregular verbs. English business Class: Vocabulary development in general and specific fields

3rd Day: Second lesson: English Language Class: Developing written and oral communication skills. English business Class:   Extending vocabulary range and fluency for work and business.

4th Day: Third lesson: English business Class: Focus on improving spoken fluency in informal meetings, discussions, presentations

5th Day: Fourth lesson: English business Class: Phone calls, meetings, presentation of your company and your business

6th Day: Free time and cultural activities 7th Day: Free time and cultural activities

8th Day: Fifth lesson: English business Class: Communication with clients and colleagues development of communication skills in English

9thDay: Sixth lesson: English business Class: Correspondences and study how to manage the correspondence (read and write e-mails, reports, and other correspondence.)

10th Day: Welcome to the customer; confirmation, advance or postpone an appointment; booking services (hotel, air, taxi, &) commercial offers and orders

11th Day: Preparation to the exam.

12th Day: Final exam, final discussion about the results of the project. Certificate ceremony and preparations for leaving.

13th Day: Preparations for leaving. 

14th Day:Departure
