Description of the course

An education should involve learning life skills that a person will carry with them after college in order to navigate relationships and careers and be a well-rounded, successful person. Teachers today face quickly-changing expectations and need a broad and sophisticated set of competences with an ability to adapt to different learning environments in order to maintain their high quality teaching. To respond to the changing demands teachers need good support and opportunities for Continuing Professional Development.  For this reason Giovani per l’Europa offers  a course on :  Developing Students’ Professional Social Skills . The course aims to teach effective methods to shape a successful person, who is the one who teaches people to enhance their skills. The course of ” Developing Students’ Professional Social Skills “, will develop into a series of lessons acts to enhance the methods of communication of the participant, and enhancing working capacity of the participant.  The ultimate goal of the course is to teach how to value the students, in order  to enable them to become successful people. Teachers must help each student attain their full potential.  We seeks to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and self-awareness necessary to achieve success in life.

Objectives

• Monitoring student’s emotional expressions and responsiveness
• Using Psychology to Teach Social Skills
• How to develop Social Skills in your students
• Train participants in how to direct students towards enhancement of its skills
• Provide educational methods for the enhancement of skills
• Working on the methods of improvement of skills of participants

Methodology:  In the framework of Erasmus Plus Programme, we are going to develop our courses based in both formal and informal education methodologies. We’ll start with an introduction of the new methodology and also with a theoretical approach. In order to stimulate the active participation of participants we will use dynamic activities, like: study cases; discussions in the classroom with  directors of private institutes; role-plays; guidelines, technical visits , meeting with successful men and women who will explain the secrets of their success .   Coursework will contain a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge. They will practice the necessary skills in order to be able to effectively use their own  knowledge learned with their own students.

PROGRAMME

1^st Day: Meeting of participants and tutors, transport to the accommodation and room allocation. Welcome Day and presentation of the agenda for the upcoming days including information about Italian culture and Erasmus + and info about the Hosting Organization and the city.

2^nd Day: lesson:  meeting with a psychologist who will explain how to use psychology to teach social skills. Lesson Brainstorming.

3^rd Day: lesson: How to motivate a student with family disruption, how to work on strengths to lead to success a student.  How to facilitate the Student Interaction.

4^th Day: Lesson with an important personal Career, during the lesson will see the new teaching methods to be able to enhance the abilities of the student.  Career Building Workshops. Discussion and question time.

5^th Day:  Lesson: How to teach students to create their own career?  Discover the talents of their students and focus on them. How to develop Social Skills Through Personal Example.

6^th Day: Social and Cultural activities and city tour   7^th Day: Rest Time

8^th Day:  Lesson: The role of education technology in education field, for career evolution, communication system in the life of the student.

9^th Day:  Lesson: Learning to communicate with the right words and the right tone, learn to use the correct methods in any kind of situation. Organization skills. Instruct the students to be ready to create their own career according to the labor market.

10^th Day: Lesson/ Meeting with successful men and women, who were able to apply their skills in the field of labor. Questions and answers time.

11^th Day  Lesson: How to invest in themselves, how to build a rock-solid reputation 
                              learn how to write a motivation letter and a CV
                              Learn how to face a job interview

12^th Day: Lesson: Assessment of people in the group and sample, how to create a successful personality. Provide effective teaching with constant professional commitment, giving students knowledge and motivation. Evaluation of the Training Course. Certificate Ceremony and overall evaluation meeting with the host organization and the beneficiaries.

13^th Day: Free time and cultural activities , departure.
