This project was implemented in 2010 by Lithuanian rehabilitational vocational training centre (LRPRC), situated in small Lithuanian town Radviliskis.
Two groups of LRPRC students participated in working practice placement in Nicotera, Calabria, Italy. 12 students of carpenter specialty worked in partners’ workshop "Mondo Antico".
They learned how to create new things such as doors, chairs, frames, chests, cabinets. Students also learned to restore old furniture. This furniture is very expensive and you must have very good skills to be allowed to work with it.
At free time students were swimming at the Tyrrhenian Sea, they learned Italian culture, history, traditions.
They have been in Reggio Calabria, Sicily, Messina and Tropea.
At home, in Lithuania, students attended English language courses. Here, in Italy they already learned few Italian words of greetings and cheering.
“Grazie Leonardo da Vinci program, grazie Italy, grazie Nicotera, grazie Giovani per l’Europa!”
This working practice is very big new social and professional experience for LRPRC students: all of them have learning troubles and are from disadvantaged youngsters group.
After the end of working practice placement LRPRC students got Certificates of participants and Europass mobility documents.
